Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking an Account Specialist to plan, implement, and execute target industry marketing programs while calling on engineers, maintenance, and purchasing professionals using a consultative selling approach. You will help learn customer applications and needs, develop new business, and maintain strong relationships across a dynamic industrial market.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or marketing related fields.
3–5 years’ industry related work experience.
Proven experience in developing new business, building repeat business, and managing a sales territory.

Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day requisition review and processing.
Develop new business and maintain relationships with current customers.
Collaborate with engineers, maintenance and purchasing professionals to resolve issues.
Enter data into systems to obtain quotes, issue purchase orders, and manage blanket PO lines.
Identify changes in part numbers and obtain approvals as needed.
Maintain lead times and monitor backlog and past due reports.
Expedite orders with service centers and customers.
Provide product sourcing assistance and expand scope of supply.
Address notifications and resolve receiving issues with warehouse staff.
Track product warranty issues and document cost savings.
