Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies in Columbus is seeking an Account Specialist to plan, implement, and execute target industry marketing programs using a consultative selling approach to learn about customers' applications and needs.

You will call on engineers, maintenance, purchasing, and others, building relationships and delivering value through our broad range of industrial motion, fluid power, and maintenance products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or marketing fields.
• 3–5 years of industry-related experience.
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage a sales territory.
• Strong relationship-building with customers and prospects.

Responsibilities

• Review and process requisitions daily.
• Enter data into systems to obtain quotes, issue POs, and manage blanket POs.
• Evaluate part number changes and obtain customer approval before receipt.
• Identify duplicate stock codes and maintain look-ahead lead times.
• Expedite orders with service centers and customers.
• Provide product sourcing assistance and pursue products within our scope.
• Resolve warranty issues with service centers and track cost savings.
