Job Overview

The primary responsibility of the Strategic Account Manager – Oncology/Clinics is to negotiate favorable contracts for the Eugia US generic injectable portfolio focusing on key stakeholders such as Oncology Clinics, Oncology GPOs, and alternate care settings. The position involves working closely with internal teams to align efforts, analyze sales data, monitor compliance, attend strategic planning meetings with home office leadership, and foster relationships across accounts that support business growth for Eugia’s generic injectable products. This position is remote, with candidates ideally located in the Midwest to the East Coast.

Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Manage existing and prospective key customers including large Oncology Networks, GPOs, and other healthcare providers in this space by understanding customer needs, leveraging market dynamics, and promoting Eugia's growing inline and new product portfolio.
  • Customer Engagement: Learn and understand the goals and drivers of each account, establishing productive and professional relationships with key decision makers.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable contract terms for Eugia US, contracting where possible all new product launches where relevant.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with all internal Eugia US team members (Sales Ops, Marketing, Supply Chain) as well as external team members (Territory Business Managers, National Accounts, Trade Relations) to manage contracts and pull through sales at the account level.
  • Account Performance: Routinely meet with assigned accounts, assessing and clarifying any issues, driving compliance, and uncovering new opportunities.
  • Data Analysis: Routinely analyze sales data to uncover trends and opportunities.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Provide competitive intelligence to management team.
  • Industry Involvement: Attend trade shows and industry meetings as requested.
  • Strategic Planning: Attend and fully participate in Strategic Planning Meetings with management team.

Qualifications - Skills & Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of the Oncology and Clinic Market, GPO, healthcare industry, large community oncology systems, and “business of oncology”.
  • Strong analytical skills related to contract pull-through and strong client management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial contracts, rebates, and discounts.
  • Experience with presentation of financial contracts with decision makers at the highest levels of large oncology organizations.
  • Ability to interpret financial data of the healthcare industry and develop strategies to overcome financial issues that are identified.
  • Ability to interpret industry trends and competitive information and develop strategies and tactics to respond to marketplace changes.
  • Knowledge of strategic and consultative selling techniques.
  • Take a leadership role in determining appropriate contracting tactics and strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Ability to use healthcare economic information to demonstrate the financial impacts of Eugia product usage.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective business, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Existing relationships with financial decision makers in the community oncology setting.
  • Solid knowledge of the Oncology market including ION, OneOncology, AON, etc.
  • Ability to present at a high level with strong written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to plan and see for short and long term goals.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
  • Must be highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, under changing conditions and strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products - Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel, estimated 25%-50% monthly.
Education & Experience
  • 5-7 years documented outside pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • 2-3 years in Generic Oncology sales experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Valid US driver's license required.
  • Generic injectables experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work in a temperature controlled office environment or travel via vehicle or commercial transportation. The employee is occasionally required to handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and walk during the course of employment. Position requires some degree of travel for business purposes. Employee may use computer, phone, copier, and other office equipment in the course of a day. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and an ability to adjust focus. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
