We're looking for a motivated and dedicated Strategic Accounts Manager to join our team. If you are passionate about account management and thrive in a customer-centric environment, we want you to be part of our journey. As a Strategic Accounts Manager at Campspot, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and growing our most important customer relationships. You will be responsible for understanding our customers' unique needs, ensuring their satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. Your strategic thinking and relationship-building skills will be instrumental in helping Campspot achieve its goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Account Leadership

  • Act as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of high-impact strategic accounts.
  • Develop and execute long-term strategic account plans that align client needs with Campspot’s business goals.
  • Build and maintain influential, consultative relationships with executive stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Serve as a thought leader and advisor, proactively identifying growth opportunities and business risks.

Client Success & Retention

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration.
  • Conduct comprehensive quarterly and annual business reviews, aligning strategic objectives and KPIs.
  • Advocate internally for customer needs across product, support, engineering, and leadership teams.

Revenue Growth & Expansion

  • Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities tailored to client objectives.
  • Lead negotiation of renewals, pricing adjustments, and contractual expansions to meet revenue and retention goals.
  • Strategically guide customers through the adoption of new features, tools, and services.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of revenue management principles and pricing optimization strategies to advise clients and align solutions with performance goals.

Insights & Strategic Planning

  • Provide actionable market insights, customer feedback, and strategic recommendations to both internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with partners to build joint business plans, aligning Campspot capabilities with customer roadmaps.
  • Contribute to internal process improvement and strategy development through data-driven insights.

Travel & Brand Representation

  • Travel to meet in person with key clients to deepen relationships, address complex business needs, and conduct onsite reviews (estimated 20–30%).
  • Represent Campspot at trade shows, industry events, and high-stakes customer engagements as a brand ambassador.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze account performance, usage metrics, and industry trends to inform decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting on account health, growth, and risk indicators.
  • Leverage tools such as Salesforce and analytics platforms to forecast and manage pipeline activity.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with both cash and accrual basis accounting to better interpret client financial performance and support strategic decisions.

Complex Onboarding & Support

  • Oversee onboarding and implementation for high-complexity clients, including park setup and data migration.
  • Deliver tailored training and onboarding plans, ensuring a smooth transition to platform adoption.

  • Strategic Thinker: Able to align customer goals with long-term business value and scalable solutions.
  • Commercially Minded: Enthusiastic about representing the brand, identifying opportunities, and delivering revenue impact.
  • Customer-Centric: Proactive about anticipating client needs and resolving challenges before they arise.
  • Industry Insider: Experience in the camping or outdoor hospitality industry strongly preferred.
  • Mentor & Leader: (Preferred) Comfortable guiding junior team members in best practices for account management.
  • Self-Starter: Demonstrates ownership, independence, and high emotional intelligence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • 5–8+ years in senior account management, client success, or strategic partnerships (SaaS or tech sector preferred).
  • Proven success managing enterprise-level accounts with complex needs.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in Hubspot, account planning tools, and data analysis platforms.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% for account visits and industry events.
  • Experience or deep familiarity with the outdoor hospitality sector is highly valued.

While Campspot is a remote-first company, priority will be given to candidates located near our Grand Rapids, MI headquarters. Secondary consideration will be given to candidates who reside in states where we currently have employees, including CO, IL, ME, MA, MI, NH, NY, NC, OR, TX, UT, VT, and VA. Candidates located outside of the US or any of the states listed previously are not able to be considered at this time.
