Job summary

QUICK USA is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to oversee high-profile accounts across Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. You will develop relationships, expand the sales pipeline, and coordinate with Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Support to deliver technical solutions and drive design wins.

The role requires strong sales experience, strategic planning, and the ability to travel up to 50% while residing in Minnesota.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in electronic components.
  • Strong technical aptitude to map customer needs to solutions.
  • Experience in strategic account management and relationship building.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Must reside or relocate to Minnesota.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop strategic accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Achieve annual sales targets and grow year-over-year revenue and pipeline.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, key decision-makers, and executives.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to increase penetration and profitability.
  • Identify customer requirements and recommend Hirose products and solutions.
  • Deliver customized product presentations and proposals.
  • Collaborate with Field Applications, Product Management, Marketing, Inside Sales, Customer Service, and Quality Engineering teams.
  • Support customers through development to production and manage opportunities to successful design wins.
  • Identify industry trends, customer needs, and new product opportunities.
  • Support NPI activities including target account identification, samples, promotion schedules, and pricing.
  • Maintain accurate customer, project, and opportunity information in Salesforce.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and presentations within deadlines.
  • Coordinate with Hirose Japan and support visits involving Japanese engineers.
  • Participate in trade shows, customer meetings, and company events.

Strategic Account Manager

Summary

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic and high-profile accounts across Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. This role focuses on developing customer relationships, expanding the sales pipeline, increasing revenue, and identifying new business opportunities. The position works closely with customers and internal Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Support teams to provide appropriate technical solutions and achieve successful design wins.

Essential Duties
  • Manage and develop strategic accounts within the assigned territory
  • Achieve annual sales targets and increase year-over-year revenue and sales pipeline
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, key decision-makers, and executive-level contacts
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to increase account penetration, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate Hirose products and technical solutions
  • Develop and deliver customized product presentations and proposals
  • Collaborate with Field Application Engineers, Product Management, Marketing, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Technical Support, and Quality Engineering teams
  • Support customers throughout product development and production and manage opportunities through successful design wins
  • Identify industry trends, customer needs, and potential new product opportunities
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including target account identification, samples, promotion schedules, and pricing

Working Hours / Working Style

Full-time / Home Office (Remote Field Sales)

Working Location

Minnesota

*Home-office-based position. The employee is required to reside in Minnesota and regularly visit customers throughout the assigned territory.

Salary / Benefit

$110K–120K / year

Relocation assistance may be considered depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related technical field required
  • 5+ years of sales experience required
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the electronic components industry required
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate product solutions
  • Experience in strategic account management, business development, and relationship management
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively across different cultures
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Salesforce CRM
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong initiative
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Must currently reside in Minnesota or be willing to relocate to Minnesota
