The Strategic Account Manager will manage a portfolio of enterprise public sector clients, helping housing authorities and government agencies maximize the value of technology solutions for affordable housing and community development programs. This remote role focuses on building long-term client relationships, improving platform adoption, and supporting compliance with relevant federal regulations and industry standards. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients optimize workflows, achieve program objectives, and navigate evolving requirements. The role offers the opportunity to influence strategic decisions while contributing to programs that support vulnerable populations and strengthen communities. It is ideal for a relationship-driven professional who combines consultative expertise, operational rigor, and a commitment to mission-oriented work.

Accountabilities
  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor for state and local government clients throughout the entire account lifecycle, developing strong relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Assess client workflows, operational needs, and program objectives to configure and tailor software solutions that support effective adoption and measurable outcomes.
  • Proactively manage a portfolio of enterprise accounts, strengthening engagement, client satisfaction, retention, and opportunities for account expansion.
  • Advise clients on applicable U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices, helping them use platform capabilities to improve efficiency and maintain compliance.
  • Educate client stakeholders on relevant software features, process improvements, and implementation strategies that support their affordable housing and community development programs.
  • Establish account-level objectives, performance milestones, and long-term success plans aligned with client priorities and program requirements.
  • Identify risks, operational challenges, upcoming deadlines, and potential audit issues early, developing practical solutions to keep client programs on track.
  • Serve as the connection between clients and internal Product and Engineering teams, communicating customer feedback, evolving regulations, and functional requirements to inform platform development.
  • Follow through on product enhancements and communicate relevant updates to clients, ensuring expectations are managed and the impact of improvements is understood.
  • Coordinate across internal teams to resolve client issues, support program success, and maintain consistent service quality.
  • Manage multiple accounts, competing priorities, and time-sensitive deliverables while maintaining high standards of organization, accountability, and compliance.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in client success, implementation, account management, or a consultative role within a SaaS or technology company.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with program staff, technical stakeholders, and senior agency leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a subject matter expert, provide trusted guidance, and translate complex requirements into practical recommendations.
  • Strong commitment to using technology to strengthen communities and improve outcomes for low-income families and vulnerable populations.
  • A quality-focused and accountable approach to work, particularly when supporting federally funded programs, regulatory compliance, and public sector operations.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple accounts, stakeholders, deadlines, and evolving priorities.
  • Experience supporting HUD or other federal programs, such as CDBG, CDBG-DR, ESG, HOME, or HOPWA, as a grantee, housing authority partner, or consultant to public sector clients, is preferred.
  • Project management experience or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience configuring, implementing, or optimizing SaaS platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with public sector renewals, contracts, procurement processes, or government account management is desirable.
  • A proactive, self-directed working style and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the judgment to identify risks, anticipate client needs, and recommend effective solutions.
Benefits
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plan options.
