Job summary

Aetwork is seeking a Lighting Designer II based in New York City to join our architectural lighting design team. This position is perfect for a motivated designer eager to grow in a dynamic studio while contributing to diverse projects. Responsibilities include assisting in lighting concepts, preparing drawings, performing calculations, and coordinating with teams. Qualifications include a relevant Bachelor's degree and 2-3+ years of experience in architectural lighting design. Salary range is $62,500-$68,000, with opportunities for growth and exposure to high-profile projects.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience in Architectural Lighting Design or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• On-site experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel nationally and internationally preferred.
• Must be fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of lighting concepts and design documentation.
• Prepare drawings, redline and presentation materials.
• Support fixture research, specifications and cutsheets.
• Perform lighting calculations and analysis (Agi32 or similar).
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants.
• Attend project meetings and occasional site visits.
• Support project timeline and deliverables.
