Job summary
A national architectural lighting design firm is seeking a Lighting Designer I based in New York City to join their team. This position involves assisting in the development of lighting concepts and supporting various project stages from concept to construction. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 1-2 years of experience in lighting design. Qualifications
1-2+ years of experience in Architectural Lighting Design or equivalent.
Familiarity with ASHRAE, Title 24, IES Standards, LEED or other energy compliance standards is a plus.
On-site experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to travel nationally and internationally preferred.
Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development of lighting concepts and design documentation.
Prepare drawings, redline and presentation materials.
Support fixture research, specifications and cutsheets.
Perform lighting calculations and analysis.
Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants.
Attend project meetings and occasional site visits.
Support project timeline and deliverables.
