Job summary

The UConn Elisabeth DeLuca School of Nursing is seeking a Publicity/Marketing Coordinator (P3) to tell the stories of the School and its people. You will craft content across news, features, social media campaigns, and promotional materials under the Director of Marketing.

You will write press copy, manage the website, analyze analytics, and develop editorial and marketing plans to elevate the School’s visibility at UConn and beyond.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, or another related field.
  • Two years of related experience.
  • Experience utilizing social media tools and marketing strategies.
  • Experience with web design, maintenance, and management.
  • Demonstrated writing ability to produce publicity materials.

Responsibilities

  • Plan promotional strategies and develop marketing plans for the School in alignment with the University’s model.
  • Write copy for press releases and publicity materials; supervise student writers.
  • Develop relationships with faculty, staff, and media; arrange coverage of events.
  • Manage website maintenance, track digital analytics, and recommend improvements.
  • Lead editorial content strategy and produce the School’s annual magazine Unison; design promotional materials.
