Job summary

WSP USA invites a water resources engineer to join our team in the United States. You will work on stormwater master planning, hydrology modeling, and environmental permitting, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and clients.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience, an Engineer in Training certification, and strong skills in hydraulics, hydrology, and technical writing. Expect a dynamic environment with emphasis on QA/QC and staff mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• 5–7 years of post-education water resources experience.
• Engineer in Training certification or equivalent credentials expected.
• Knowledge of water resource engineering principles and environmental permitting.
• Familiarity with stormwater management, hydraulics, and hydrology design.
• Ability to coordinate with regulators and manage projects with QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Perform water resources engineering work for stormwater master planning and related studies.
• Develop hydrology/hydraulic models (e.g., HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS).
• Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing findings.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and clients on permits and compliance.
• Mentor junior staff and lead small to mid-size projects.
