Job summary

Strike Engineers in Rancho Bernardo, CA seeks a Civil/Water Resources engineer with 4–10 years of stormwater experience to join our team. The role focuses on PDPs, BMP design, and hydrologic studies, with hands-on modeling in EPA SWMM and SDHM.

You’ll design drainage systems, respond to plan checks, supervise junior staff, and contribute to QA/QC while meeting project deadlines. A CA PE or EIT on track to PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 4-10 years in stormwater, drainage or water resources engineering experience.
• Hands-on with EPA SWMM and SDHM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare SWQMPs for PDPs under San Diego County BMP Design Manual and local requirements.
• Build and analyze stormwater models (SDHM, EPA SWMM, HydroCAD) for detention and conveyance.
• Write hydrologic and hydraulic studies following local manuals.
• Design drainage and stormwater BMPs on grading plans.
• Respond to plan check comments from local agencies.
• Mentor junior staff and help QA/QC processes.
