Job summary

City of Lewiston seeks a Street Maintenance Worker to perform maintenance and repair on city streets, stormwater systems, and related infrastructure. The role includes operating a range of equipment, assisting with inspections, and maintaining records and assets.

Anticipated starting salary is $47,584.06 with a full range up to $74,908.10; open until filled. Candidates must meet minimum qualifications and may have stormwater experience with Jet Vac/Vacuum trucks.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED and two years of entry level street maintenance and construction experience.
• Related Stormwater experience operating a Jet Vac or Vacuum truck preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on City streets, alleys, and right of ways as part of public works.
• Operate a variety of street maintenance equipment and assist with stormwater inspections and MS4 tasks.
• Prepare records and reports related to assets, maintenance, and equipment; assist with inventory.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in snow response, road obstructions, and pavement damage duties.
