Job summary

City of Wenatchee is hiring a municipal stormwater and wastewater collection system technician. You will operate and maintain a range of heavy equipment and perform regular inspections, cleaning, and repairs to keep systems safe and efficient.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a WA State Class A CDL, and a Flagging Card within six months. It offers excellent benefits and a stable public service career in Wenatchee.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of full-time equivalent experience in stormwater/sewer or related construction.
• WA State Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and air brake restrictions removed.
• Must obtain WA State Flagging Card within six months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a municipal stormwater and wastewater collection system safely and efficiently.
• Operate and maintain equipment including eductor truck, backhoe, loader and power tools.
• Perform routine inspections of manholes, basins and inlets; video inspection and high-pressure cleaning.
• Repair stormwater infrastructure and maintain safety procedures.
• Document maintenance and repairs; keep a clean work site and assist with traffic control.
