Job summary

Town of Steilacoom is seeking a Serviceperson I (Streets/Stormwater) to assist in maintaining and repairing streets and storm drains. This entry-level role performs duties under direct supervision and works 40 hours per week.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, a valid WA Class B CDL with tanker endorsement, a clean driving record, First Aid/CPR and Flagging certifications within six months, and a background check. The Town offers retirement, health, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must comply with Washington Administrative Codes (WAC) related to the position (WAC Chapter 296).
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Washington State Driver License Combined Class B with tanker endorsement.
• Good driving record.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, Washington Industrial First Aid Certification, CPR within six months of hire.
• Possess or obtain a Washington State Flagging Card within six months of hire.
• Pass a background check with no convictions for crimes against at risk populations.

• Performs entry‑level duties as assigned.
