Job summary

Halff in Duluth, GA is seeking a Professional Civil Engineer with 5–10 years of public infrastructure experience to lead stormwater projects from planning through closeout. The role emphasizes coordination with municipalities, consultants, and contractors to deliver compliant, on-time capital programs.

The ideal candidate will hold an ABET-accredited civil engineering degree and a Georgia PE license (or willing to obtain within six months), with strong budgeting and project-management skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or an ABET-accredited equivalent.
• Professional Engineer license in Georgia or ability to obtain within six months.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience managing public infrastructure, stormwater, drainage, civil construction, or related projects.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and multiple offices.
• Strong commitment to quality, integrity, and project success.

Responsibilities

• Manage stormwater and public infrastructure capital improvement projects from project initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain project scopes, schedules, budgets, cost estimates, and funding plans.
• Coordinate planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction, inspection, and closeout of stormwater projects.
• Oversee drainage systems, stormwater retention/detention facilities, flood-control improvements, and water-quality infrastructure.
• Review engineering plans, technical reports, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors and monitor performance, schedules, and costs.
• Manage procurement processes, contracts, and change orders in public procurement contexts.
