Job summary

Timmons Group in Raleigh, North Carolina is seeking an experienced Project Engineer II/III to join its Stormwater Management Group.

You will design stormwater structures, perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or PCSWMM, and prepare construction documents for projects.

Candidates should have a civil engineering degree and 3+ years of stormwater experience; strong communication and regulatory knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Three plus years of experience in Stormwater civil engineering and design.
• Working knowledge of CADD and Civil 3D software.
• Familiarity with MS4 and NPDES regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design of stormwater practices including SCMs, BMPs, LID, dams, and restoration.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and modeling to support designs.
• Prepare construction documents including plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Conduct field observations and inspections; collect data as directed.
• Coordinate stormwater permitting with regulatory agencies.
• Communicate with clients and internal teams on project progress.
