Job summary

The City of Medford is seeking a Stormwater Program Specialist to join the Public Works Engineering team. This role blends technical work, field inspections, and environmental compliance to protect local water quality while guiding responsible development.

Qualifications

• Experience with stormwater design, hydrology and hydraulics, erosion control, construction inspection, environmental compliance, or water-quality programs is helpful.
• Engineering Technician III/IV level may be filled based on qualifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, surveying, construction management, computer science, environmental science, or related field may substitute for four years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates project development and delivery meetings; prepares agendas and minutes.
• Communicates with staff, public agencies, property owners, developers, engineers, contractors, and the public.
• Reviews plans and specifications for public contracts and private development; ensures compliance with codes and standards.
• Performs field inspections to verify plan accuracy, code compliance, and quality of work.
• Reviews and analyzes hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for stormwater facilities; coordinates with designers and inspectors.
