Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of environmental protection principles and practices.
• Thorough knowledge of chemistry, biology, hydrology, mathematics, and engineering as they relate to the program area.
• Ability to prepare documents for administrative and regulatory action.
• Excellent research and writing skills for reports and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an environmental expert and provide guidance to regulated communities and officials.
• Manage projects to ensure timely delivery of program needs and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Research and apply state/federal guidance for permits; respond to comments and defend permit terms.
• Conduct surveys, inspections, and investigations of facilities; cite violations.
• Use compliance and enforcement tools to bring sources back into compliance.
