Job summary

Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) seeks a stormwater management specialist to serve as a resource for erosion and sediment control. Qualifications

  • Excellent research and writing skills for preparing accurate reports.
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with diverse parties on environmental matters.
  • At least five years of environmental or environmental public health experience in a similar role (degree not required).
  • Must possess or obtain CPESC, CESSWI, CISEC, or EPA Construction General Permit Site Inspector Training certification within 24 months.

Job description

This position serves as a stormwater management and erosion and sediment control resource for the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT). The specialist oversees consultant partners managing Construction Stormwater General Permit submittals, provides technical assistance to INDOT field staff and contractors, and leads special projects with consultant permitting partners. The role is based at INDOT's Central Office in Indianapolis and requires or involves obtaining relevant stormwater certification within 24 months.
