Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; willingness to serve the public.
• Must obtain and maintain a Florida Class B CDL with endorsements within 12 months of employment.
• Must obtain Florida FWPCOA Stormwater Technician level C certification within 18 months to remain employed.

Responsibilities

• Installs collection system mains, catch basins, flow control devices.
• Cleans system, pumping stations, and clears flow stoppages.
• Locates underground stormwater piping for other utilities and contractors.
• Operates heavy equipment and instructs others in equipment operation.
• Sets up maintenance of traffic around job site and monitors safety.
• Performs routine maintenance and repair of system and equipment.
• Documents preventive maintenance on facilities, tanks, pipes, valves and containment systems.
• Plans and purchases materials for new stormwater projects.
