Job summary

The City of Georgetown is seeking a Light Equipment Operator focusing on stormwater. Under general supervision, you will operate a range of light and heavy equipment for maintenance, repair, and construction of street and drainage infrastructure.

This role includes specialized stormwater duties such as street sweeping, grading, and underground system projects. Experience with municipal infrastructure and valid Texas driver's license are preferred; on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Six months of full-time work experience in a related field.
• OR any combination of experience, education and/or training providing the required knowledge and abilities.
• Valid Texas driver's license and ability to obtain Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement within required time.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains a variety of light and heavy equipment.
• Participates in maintenance, repair, and construction of City infrastructure.
• Coordinates and assists other areas of Operations.
• Prepares tools, materials, and equipment to complete assignments.
• Performs safety inspections of vehicles and equipment.
