The City of Georgetown, Texas, seeks a Light Equipment Operator for the Stormwater specialization to maintain streets, drainage systems, and right-of-way infrastructure. Under supervision, you will operate a range of equipment and support city projects related to stormwater management.

Strong knowledge of safety, equipment manuals, and clear communication is required. A Texas driver's license is mandatory; progression toward Class A CDL may be required within months of hire.

Qualifications

• 6 months of full-time work experience in related tasks or any combination of experience/education/training providing required knowledge and abilities.
• Knowledge of municipal street/drainage infrastructure maintenance.
• Ability to read and follow safety regulations and equipment manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Willingness to operate light and heavy equipment and assist in various assignments.

Responsabilités

• Operate and perform maintenance on light and heavy equipment for streets, stormwater, and right-of-way projects.
• Assist in maintenance, repair, and construction of city infrastructure.
• Operate trucks and equipment such as dump trucks, mowers, and street sweeping equipment.
• Prepare tools and materials for work assignments and coordinate with other departments.
• Assist with traffic control setup and monitoring as needed.
• May serve as lead for assigned staff and participate in on-call duties.
