Job summary

Terraphase Engineering is seeking a Project Environmental Engineer / Scientist with an emphasis on industrial stormwater for our Tacoma, WA office. You will perform complex consulting assignments and support the management and execution of regulatory compliance projects across industrial, municipal, and construction clients.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and field as well as office work, with travel up to weekly; experience with SWPPPs, SPCC, and other regulatory

Qualifications

• 4+ years as an environmental professional with stormwater focus
• Experience in consulting, supporting multiple active assignments
• Fundamental project management skills: scheduling, tracking, coordination
• Willingness to perform field and office work including inspections and audits
• Experience with stormwater and wastewater permitting and compliance
• Development of SWPPPs/SPCC Plans and other regulatory reports
• Travel regionally up to ~1 week/month and a valid U.S. driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Deliver stormwater program development and implementation
• Support hazardous waste and wastewater compliance
• Perform on-site inspections and audits
• Review regulations, permits, and agency guidance to support project needs
• Coordinate tasks and communicate with clients and internal teams
