Job summary

Terraphase Engineering seeks a Project Environmental Engineer/Scientist with an emphasis on industrial stormwater in our Northwest office (Portland or Tacoma). The role delivers multimedia regulatory compliance services to industrial, municipal, and construction clients, including stormwater program development and SPCC plans, plus on-site inspections.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related technical field.
4+ years of multi‑media environmental compliance experience including audits, permitting support, and regulatory plans (SWPPPs, SPCC, SOPs).
Ability to manage multiple tasks, perform field inspections and sampling, and oversee contractors.

Responsibilities

Perform complex consulting assignments focused on day‑to‑day environmental regulatory compliance.
Develop and implement stormwater programs, hazardous waste management, wastewater compliance, and related audits.
Coordinate tasks, communicate with clients and regulators, and manage projects and timelines.
