Job summary

RIM Recruitment Professionals is seeking a Stormwater Engineer-Scientist to analyze stormwater runoff, design BMPs, and prepare reports near offices in Daly City, Irvine, or Portland. The role includes site inspections, training client staff, and coordinating with permitting agencies.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s in civil/environmental fields, with 3+ years in environmental consulting and industrial stormwater. Strong communication and data analysis skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science.
• 3+ years as an engineer or scientist in environmental consulting with industrial stormwater experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently or in teams.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, or ArcGIS Pro.
• OSHA HAZWOPER training.

Responsibilities

• Technical Analysis and Design.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses of stormwater runoff.
• Design stormwater best management practices (BMPs).
• Conduct pollutant source assessments.
• Collect samples and evaluate stormwater quality data.
• Prepare technical memoranda and regulatory reports.
• Review data throughout the project cycle.
• Inspect sites for permit conformance and support permits.
• Train client staff on permit requirements and BMP implementation.
