Job summary

Pape-Dawson is seeking an Engineer III to support planning, design, analysis, and delivery of stormwater projects under supervision of a licensed PE. You will perform calculations, create technical deliverables, and evaluate design alternatives while coordinating with project teams and external stakeholders.

The role includes mentoring junior engineers, contributing to QA/QC, and working primarily in an office with periodic site visits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
Minimum of 2 years of professional engineering experience.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT/EI) certification.
Proficiency with engineering principles, design standards, and codes; hydrologic/hydraulic modeling in 1D/2D analyses.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering planning, design, and analysis tasks in accordance with codes, standards, and regulations; produce work requiring minimal revision.
Prepare calculations and deliverables such as reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Evaluate design alternatives and apply engineering judgment to support project objectives.
Coordinate with project managers, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders to support project delivery.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and designers.
