Job summary

Atlas is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist (CS Project Manager 2) focused on stormwater compliance. This hybrid role is based in central Connecticut, with in-office three days a week and remote two days.

You will support clients in meeting federal, state, and local environmental rules, including SPCC plans and stormwater permitting. Your responsibilities include MS4 program management, IDDE oversight, and ensuring CT DEEP permit compliance, plus SPCC/SWPPP development and field

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental studies, ecological sciences, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years in environmental compliance, especially SPCC and stormwater.
• At least 1 year in stormwater project management; additional years preferred.
• CHMM or other certifications are an added plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead MS4 program management including SWPPP updates and permits.
• Coordinate IDDE oversight, outfall prioritization, and illicit discharge investigations.
• Ensure compliance with CT DEEP stormwater permits and prepare documentation.
• Develop SPCC and SWPPP plans for clients.
• Support industrial, commercial, and municipal stormwater needs and audits.
• Coordinate GIS field data collection and drainage mapping.
• Participate in BMP design and resiliency efforts for clients.
• Communicate regulatory requirements clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Travel up to 30% as required.
