Job summary

Atlas in the United States is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist CS Project Manager 2 focused on stormwater compliance. This hybrid role in central Connecticut involves in-office three days a week and remote two days, supporting clients in meeting federal, state, and local environmental rules, including SPCC and stormwater permits.

The role covers MS4 program management, regulatory compliance, GIS-enabled field operations, BMP development, and project management tasks such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental studies, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of environmental compliance experience with SPCC and stormwater.
• 1 year in stormwater project management; additional years a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Experience with regulatory research and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Lead CT DEEP MS4 permit requirements implementation including SWPPP updates and annual reporting.
• Develop and present compliant SPCC and SWPPP plans for clients.
• Coordinate field activities: basin inspections, mapping, and data management using GIS.
• Prepare compliance documentation and support inspections.
• Assist clients with permit renewals and annual reporting.
• Provide regulatory training to clients as needed.
