Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental studies, ecological sciences, or related field.
• At least 5 years of practical experience with environmental compliance requirements, especially SPCC plans and stormwater discharges.
• At least 1 year of stormwater project management experience.
• CHMM or other certifications (e.g. EIT, P.E., CSP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• MS4 Program Management: lead CT DEEP MS4 permit requirements, SWPPP updates, reporting, and compliance.
• IDDE Oversight: coordinate dry-weather screening, outfall prioritization, mapping, and illicit discharge investigations.
• Regulatory Compliance: ensure adherence to CT DEEP stormwater permits, prepare documentation, and support inspections.
• Develop SPCC Plans and SWPPPs for clients.
• Industrial & Commercial Support: assist facilities with SWPPPs, inspections, and permit renewals.
• GIS & Field Operations: coordinate field assessments, catch basins, drainage mapping, and data management.
• BMP Development: design and track stormwater BMPs for municipalities and clients.
• Erosion & Sediment Control: review E&S plans and coordinate field inspections for stabilization.
