Qualifications

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive stormwater management plans.
  • Utilizing software such as TR-55, Ponds, ICPR 4, Stormwise, HEC-RAs, and GIS to analyze and design stormwater systems.
  • Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic studies to assess flood risk and design appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Navigating the FEMA floodplain mapping process and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions to complex stormwater challenges.
  • Reviewing and approving stormwater designs and plans, ensuring they meet FDEP 10-2 and FDOT standards.
  • Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Monitoring project progress and ensuring timely completion within budget.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in stormwater management, particularly within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in stormwater management software such as TR-55, Ponds, ICPR 4, Stormwise, HEC-RAs, and GIS.
  • Solid understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles.
  • Familiarity with FEMA floodplain mapping and regulations.
  • Experience in ensuring compliance with FDEP 10-2 and FDOT standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
