Job summary

Hydaker-Wheatlake Company seeks an experienced Storm Superintendent to lead field operations during emergency storm restoration and utility recovery efforts. You will mobilize and manage crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to restore service safely and on time.

As a primary field liaison, you will coordinate with utility customers, project managers, dispatch, engineers, and internal teams to prioritize storms, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with safety standards and company

Qualifications

• 10+ years in utility line construction, storm restoration, or related field with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of overhead/underground construction and emergency response.
• Proven ability to lead multiple crews and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with safety practices, OSHA requirements, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead storm restoration operations from mobilization to project completion, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Respond to emergencies with rapid mobilization of personnel, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Promote a strong safety culture through briefings and compliance with regulations.
• Supervise field crews, foremen, and subcontractors while maintaining teamwork and productivity.
• Coordinate daily restoration activities to maximize crew productivity and service restoration speed.
• Maintain clear communication with utility customers and internal teams on priorities and progress.
