Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Wrens, GA is seeking a Groundsperson to support the crew by performing ground-based tree and brush work, loading materials, and aiding in storm restoration tasks. A valid driver’s license is required.

You will be responsible for maintaining safety, handling tools like chainsaws and pruners, and ensuring equipment is in good condition. This full-time role offers benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Must possess physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs and operate tools in uneven terrain.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to hear verbal instructions and obtain first-aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and keep work areas clear of debris.
• Clear undergrowth and brush from right-of-way using hand tools.
• Load/unload trucks with logs and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Set up signs, flag traffic, and protect workers and the public.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment.
• Travel for storm restoration work as needed.
