Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Storeroom/Clerical professional to manage district storeroom operations, maintain accurate inventories, and issue materials for crews. The role requires a high school diploma, familiarity with stock, and the ability to maintain clear records.

Candidates should be able to pass motor vehicle operator tests, hold a PA driver’s license and company permit, and complete EEI SASS testing. The position emphasizes safety, reliability and teamwork within FirstEnergy’s service

Qualifications

• Senior high school graduate or equivalent.
• Familiar with materials, equipment and supplies carried in stock.
• Thorough working knowledge of the record systems used in the work.
• Able to make neat, concise, and clear records and reports.
• Cooperative temperament and ability to harmonize with employees.
• Ability to direct the work of others in an efficient and cooperative manner.
• Neat and orderly in the work.
• Must pass motor vehicle operator tests and hold PA driver's license and company permit.
• Must satisfy EEI SASS test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare requisitions for material to meet district line material requirements, checking against stock records.
• Check received material against purchase orders; store materials systematically; prepare material reports.
• Load/unload materials, crate/uncrate, and arrange stock for pickup by crews.
• Maintain stock balance, perpetual inventory and physical counts as prescribed.
• Issue material to authorized persons and balance deposits/returns; manage charges and credits.
• Record job orders, coordinate meter orders, and maintain service drop records.
• Receive and inspect materials from crews; salvage or recondition as needed.
• Arrange materials for scheduled work and maintain safety and housekeeping in storeroom.
