Under general supervision, with some latitude for planning or laying out of working details and with responsibility for results, must be able to efficiently operate storeroom, issue and receive supplies and merchandise, maintain records necessary to properly record issue or receipt of all items passing through storeroom, take inventories, direct work of other storeroom employees, operate equipment used in handling material, and do related work as assigned.
Must have worked for at least 3 years, and qualified as Storeroom Assistant, or have had equivalent experience in related work Must be able to qualify for automobile and truck operator's license Know storekeeping procedure and be familiar with all records maintained in the storeroom Know materials and be able to identify same by type, size, serial number, etc. Must know and practice Company's applicable safety rules Know location of firefighting equipment and be familiar with operation and use of the various types
