Job summary

General Mills in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Storeroom Attendant to support the manufacturing team on an 8-hour swing shift. You will issue parts to maintenance, keep the storeroom organized, and ensure inventory accuracy in the Maximo system.

Typical duties include cycle counts, assisting Receiving Clerk, and maintaining safety standards. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to operate basic computer systems and software.
• Ability to work 8-hour swing shifts and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Clear English communication and safety-conscious behavior.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Issue parts to maintenance on request in an efficient manner.
• Maintain storeroom security and organize inventory.
• Record parts in the Maximo system and tag items with correct part numbers.
• Assist Receiving Clerk and participate in cycle counts.
• Attend plant-wide safety and communication meetings.
• Perform additional tasks to support storeroom operations.
