Job summary

General Mills Buffalo plant is seeking a Storeroom Attendant to manage the storeroom, issue parts to maintenance, and maintain accurate inventory using Maximo. The role requires basic computer skills, English communication, and the ability to work 8-hour swing shifts including weekends and holidays. Starting pay is $23.84 per hour with 2nd shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or similar setting.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills.
• Ability to work 8-hour Swing shifts.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays as openings occur.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Issue parts to maintenance personnel in an efficient manner.
• Maintain storeroom security and organize inventory.
• Record parts in the Maximo system promptly.
• Unpack and arrange inventoried items in proper locations.
• Tag items with the correct GMI part numbers and reorganize when needed.
• Keep storeroom clean, organized, and safe.
• Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or substandard inventory.
• Communicate shortages to Buyer or Storeroom Manager.
• Assist Receiving Clerk and attend plant-wide meetings.
