Job summary

Connecticut Valley Hospital, part of the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, seeks a Material Storage Supervisor 1 to oversee a storeroom/warehouse, plan unit workflow, assign and review tasks, and maintain procedures. The role emphasizes staff training and collaboration with internal units and external partners.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in stock or warehouse work.
• One (1) year of the General Experience must have involved the full range of stores duties.
• Preferred: warehousing tasks including shipping, receiving, palletizing and stock rotation.
• May require licenses, permits and/or certifications per the appointing authority.

Responsibilities

• Plans unit workflow and determines priorities.
• Schedules, assigns, oversees, and reviews work.
• Establishes and maintains unit procedures.
• Provides staff training and assists in performance evaluations.
• Acts as liaison with operating units, agencies, and outside officials.
• May perform receiving, storing, issuing, inventorying, or related tasks.
• Orders supplies based on prescribed specifications.
• Maintains inventory and reports on stock levels.
