Default Brand is seeking an Assistant Manager - Storeroom in Hyde Park, NY to lead daily storeroom operations alongside the Manager - Storeroom. You will supervise Stock Specialists and student workers, act as the front-line contact for customers, and assume purchasing duties when needed to ensure smooth operations.

The role emphasizes inventory control, quality standards, and efficient coordination with kitchen teams and receiving docks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of culinary or foodservice experience with a range of ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Supervise issue and receiving areas and staff with Manager - Storeroom.
• Ensure daily orders are filled with quality product and proper inventory control.
• Coordinate proper staging of kitchen orders for PM pick up.
• Oversee storeroom tasks related to kitchen-prepared stocks and communicate with stakeholders.
• Ensure food deliveries to outlying kitchens are completed as needed.
• Conduct daily audits of kitchen orders and inventory accuracy.
• Verify quality standards and address any issues with students or instructors.
• Maintain daily upkeep and safety of department vehicles and report repairs.
• Train new hires and oversee student staff; assist in hiring.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks and ensure sanitation; uphold safety standards.
• Coordinate with receiving dock for storage and receipt of goods.
• Utilize EATEC purchasing/receiving processes for inventory control.
• Assist in routine or monthly inventories as required.
• Maintain knowledge of Warehouse One system products and lines.
• Cover inventories and purchases during buyer’s absence.
