Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Storeroom Crib Attendant to work at a customer site, handling daily receiving, stocking, issuing and cycle counting of inventory while maintaining a professional and organized workspace.

Responsibilities include unloading and shelving goods, ensuring accuracy of records, and supporting inventory control efforts while upholding safety standards and efficiency in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ months relevant experience and/or training.
• Loading, unloading, picking, packing or moving goods in a warehouse environment; forklift / cherry picker experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency and/or a demonstrated technical aptitude to learn; MS-Office products, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21.
• Demonstration of basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units to measure).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated to accomplish tasks and goals.
• Demonstration of attention to detail and safety minded.

Responsibilities

• Unloads, receives and puts away incoming product, goods, tools and/or equipment; checks for damage and discrepancies against invoices.
• Sorts, labels, moves and stores items; places material on racks or bins according to size, style or product codes; optimizes crib space.
• Issues product to site employees; documents and maintains records for issued/returned items.
• Enters data into a database to maintain stock records; responds to inquiries; logs discrepancies for corrective action.
• Requests requisitions to replenish inventory.
• Assists with inventory level maintenance; performs cycle counts and reports results.
• Inspects tools/equipment for defects and reports wear to supervisors.
• Delivers tools/equipment to associate work locations; maintains orderly inventory.
