Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor's in Criminal Justice preferred (Asset Protection Team Member Only).

Work Experiences:

• Previous related work experience preferred.
• Operating POS equipment, symbol, and telephone preferred (Cashier Only).
• In-direct support of people and processes to drive operational excellence and sales targets (Cashier Only).
• 4+ years of personal experience with outdoor hobbies, interests, and skills; fishing and hunting experience preferred (Outdoor Enthusiast Only).
• CPR and First Responder certification is a plus (Asset Protection Team Member Only).
• Loss Prevention or Criminal Justice background is a plus (Asset Protection Team Member Only).

Skills:

• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to connect, build rapport, and engage with customers, especially those interested in sports and outdoor pursuits; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Effective problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety rules, operation instructions, plan-o-grams, and manuals.
• Proficiency in basic math and understanding written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Operate and train others on POS equipment, symbol, and telephone (Cashier Only).
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence (Cashier Only).
• Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems (Cashier Only).
• Passionate about outdoor hobbies such as fishing, hunting, shooting, and camping (Outdoor Enthusiast Only).
• Must meet federal and state requirements for firearm transactions (Fishing and Hunting Sales Team Member Only).
• Must qualify for and maintain FOID card (Illinois only, Fishing and Hunting Sales Team Member Only).
• Proficiency with basic hand tools and cleaning equipment.
• Provide prompt, friendly customer service to team members and customers.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures.
• Strong situational awareness and observation skills.

Physical Requirements & Attendance:

• Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Acceptable hearing and vision levels to perform duties.
• Adherence to work hours, policies, procedures, and rules.
• Ability to walk, reach, talk frequently; sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, and pull occasionally.
• Lift up to 10 pounds constantly, up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Stand, handle, and use fingers repetitively.
