Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company is seeking an Assistant Manager for Break Time Convenience Stores in Missouri. You will support store operations, coach team members, and help manage expenses in the absence of the Store Manager.

Ideal candidates bring prior leadership in retail, strong customer service, and the ability to supervise shifts, handle cash, and promote food service and safety. This role emphasizes teamwork and streamlined operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Availability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lead a team and work independently.
• Ability to perform accurate math calculations.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and coach the team to do the same.
• Assist in day-to-day store operations including reporting, banking, inventory, and upkeep.
• Support merchandising, pricing, promotions, and stock levels.
• Supervise shifts in absence of the manager and support food service and safety.
• Maintain communications with customers, vendors, and staff.
• Understand store finances and help manage expenses and losses.
• Assist with recruiting, training, and developing associates.
• Use store technology and perform shift reports and cash handling.
• Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
