Job summary

ALDI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in New York to lead daily store operations and support the direct leader in implementing action plans. The role focuses on staff development, training, and delivering exceptional customer service to meet business goals.

You will manage schedules, payroll, and inventory controls while upholding ALDI values, safety standards, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Ability to work 18 years or older and comply with ALDI hiring policies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Provide prompt, courteous customer service and develop rapport with staff.
• Understand budgeting, personnel costs and expenses to manage store operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising day-to-day store activities and store performance.
• Develop operational action plans and identify training opportunities.
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Respond to customer concerns and maintain inventory procedures.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel and supervise payroll/controls.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, signage and brand standards across the store.
