Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise is organized and well-presented.

The role includes opening/closing duties, adherence to corporate directives, payroll and scheduling support, and loss prevention. A high school diploma is preferred and a commitment to safety and friendly service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred with the ability to read and follow directives.
• Experience in store management in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer questions.
• Help organize merchandise and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures when required.
• Process corporate directives and maintain accurate records.
• Support ordering, damage processing, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, organized sales floor and stockroom to standard.
• Ensure asset protection and compliance with policies.
