Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Team Leader to develop Starbucks and its Baristas, ensuring top customer service and adherence to department records, processes, standards, and methods.

Leaders will coach team members, foster inclusion, and promote a respectful workplace while driving sales and controlling labor costs. The role emphasizes safety, mentorship, and strategic scheduling to build future leaders and deliver strong store performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1–3 years preferred.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select and train Team Members.
• Direct the work of Team Members.
• Appraise Team Members' productivity for promotions or changes in status.
• Handle Team Member issues including complaints.
• Discipline Team Members.
• Plan the work.
• Distribute or assign the work among Team Members.
• Provide for safety and security of Team Members or the store.
• Manage the budget for your department or location.
• Manage inventory for your department or location.
• Monitor or implement compliance measures.
• Oversee training to reduce turnover and promote efficiency.
• Provide motivational leadership and set an exemplary example.
• Identify strengths and development opportunities and schedule accordingly.
• Develop future leaders and nurture inclusion and diversity.
• Maintain safety as a top priority.
• Inspire the team and guests with passion for food and service.
• Set and reach aggressive sales and profit goals and manage shrink.
• Communicate with merchandising to convey promotions.
• Propose innovative plans to improve the business.
• Review and analyze financial and inventory reports to improve performance.
