Job summary

Ace Hardware in Springfield, MA is seeking a Team Lead to support store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. You will champion outstanding customer service and direct tasks delegated by the Store Manager.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, safety, inventory, training, and merchandising, with a focus on achieving sales and efficiency goals while maintaining excellent service for Rocky’s customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising store teams is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and support store management.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Safety and security, as assigned.
• Oversee tasks assigned to store team and ensure performance.
• Assist in training store team to ensure optimum performance and customer service.
• Oversee inventory maintenance and general housekeeping.
• Oversee receiving of merchandise and store stocking; manage cash & receivables as assigned.
• Work with management to achieve sales and productivity goals.
• Maintain good working condition of store equipment and fixtures.
• Develop and execute ideas to increase store traffic and merchandising.
