Job summary

Lids Sports Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Schaumburg, IL to lead daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service. The role oversees scheduling, training, and discipline, while ensuring brand standards and inventory accuracy are maintained across a busy retail environment.

You will drive sales, manage a team, and support a seamless customer experience in one of the nation’s largest licensed sports retailers, known for in-store embroidery and strong brand

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc. when Store Manager is not present.
• Lead store associates through training programs and goal setting, with regular follow-up.
• Administer disciplinary steps when needed and ensure policy compliance.
• Foster a fun, productive environment while aligning with store objectives.
• Ensure adherence to brand standards, dress code, and inventory controls.
• Open and close the store and manage cash handling for daily operations.
• Support inventory counts, product organization, and layout optimization.
