Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is seeking a Team Lead/Shift Manager in Canton, OH. You’ll assist the store manager, oversee donated goods processing, pricing, and merchandising, and step in to run the store during shifts.

Qualifications

• Six or more months of retail sales experience preferred or potential for management.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Knowledge of merchandise such as name brand, antiques, vintage, and collectibles.
• Experience with computers preferred.
• First aid and CPR certification required (can get certified after hire).
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, including donation processing and pricing, and keep the sales floor attractive through effective merchandising.
• Run all store operations in the absence of the store manager or assistant manager during your scheduled shift.
• Process transactions accurately, manage cash operations including daily counts and over/short reconciliation, and handle customer disputes and exchanges.
• Help manage the backroom warehouse, including loading and unloading donations with material handling equipment.
• Coach and train team members, handle day-to-day employee relations, and partner with HR when needed.
• Lead your team in meeting hourly and daily production goals.
• Model and enforce safe working conditions and keep the building and property clean and organized.
• Support the "You Changed a Life" campaign.
• Plan the day, handle end-of-day tasks, and keep the facility secure.
