Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to operate the register, stock shelves, and assist in daily store operations. In the absence of store leadership you'll help with cash handling, deposits, and security procedures while delivering friendly customer service.

You will unload trucks, stock merchandise, maintain plan-o-grams, greet customers, and help create a clean, safe shopping environment. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Able to perform cash handling and deposits.
• Experience with IBM cash registers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store procedures.
• Stock merchandise and maintain plan-o-grams.
• Greet customers and assist with locating items.
• Operate cash register and process payments.
• Keep front end clean and organized; bag merchandise.
