Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Erie to maintain a clean, customer-first store. You will assist with supervision, merchandise presentation and deposits, while protecting assets and maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities include scheduling, staff training, inventory control, planograms and cashier accountability. Candidates should have a high school diploma and retail supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of retail experience and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemise the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing training, safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with policies.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, restocking and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork and facility controls.
• Assist in planogram implementation and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability, cash handling and deposits.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
