Job summary

CrossAmerica Partners is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Rocky Mount, VA location. The role supports the Store Manager in daily operations, delivers excellent customer service, and leads staff to maintain store profitability. Starting pay is $16 per hour with full-time benefits.

The candidate should have strong leadership, retail experience, and a hands-on approach to running a busy convenience store, including inventory control and effective sales performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or convenience store management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field is a plus.
• Valid and current State Driver's License is Required

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers; resolve complaints; ensure a clean, safe store environment.
• Recruit, train, onboard and supervise staff; delegate tasks and manage daily activities.
• Manage inventory levels: ordering, receiving, shelving, stock checks, rotation and waste reduction.
• Drive sales, help meet targets, monitor cash handling, and support budget control.
• Ensure health, safety, and legal compliance and conduct regular store inspections.
• Assist with payroll, staffing reports and inventory records; prepare performance reports.
